Rangers International demotes Eight players, cut salaries due to poor form

The management of Rangers International who have gone Ten games without a win in all competition this season, in a bid to stop the not too impressive run of form have Demoted Eight of it’s players to the “B” team while also sourcing for quality attackers to beef up the squad.

After an Emergency meeting on Monday at the team base in Enugu,the technical crew and the management announced the decision stressing that it was part of the performance based agreement signed by both parties.

Meanwhile, all the team attackers have been placed on forty percent less of their monthly salaries until they improve on their scoring abilities.

Speaking to the team,Prince Davidson Owumi stated that the situation in the team currently led to the measures so as to bring out the best from the players.

” I must say that this measure of sending some of you to the ‘B’ team is for you to catch up with the form we saw in you and engaged you in the first place, we need to start winning games and move out from where  we currently occupy to where we rightly belong”

In the meantime,the club have started the hunt for quality strikers to beef up the squad to effectively challenge for honours in the remaining part of the season.

The flying Antelopes have won just once in the league this term, and are on the brink of Elimination from the CAF Confederations Cup after securing just a point after Three round of matches.
