AC Milan have reportedly opened talks with former legend Andriy Shevchenko as a possible replacement for under fire boss Marco Giampaolo following a dismal start to the season.
The Rossoneri have lost 4 of their opening 6 games under the former Sampdoria manager, including Sunday’s 3-1 loss to Fiorentina at the San Siro, their third straight defeat.
Shevchenko, who had two stints with Milan scoring 175 goals has been managing his country’s national team since 2016.
However, it is understood that Giampaolo would be given a one-match ultimatum to reverse his fortunes with next weekend’s game at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris against Genoa.
The Rossoblu incidentally have also lined up another ex Milan player and coach, Gennaro Gattuso to replace Aurelio Andreazzoli should he fail to arrest the club’s struggling start to the campaign.
