It’s no more news that Rangers International football club of Enugu have signed a five year multi million naira deal with Italian kit giants Lotto Sports, on Tuesday 24th September at the club’s corporate head office in Enugu.
But first, who are Lotto sports?
Lotto sports Italia is an Italian sportswear manufacturer, which produces footwear, clothing and accessories for sports.
The company produces kits for 18 football clubs across the globe, most notably FSV Mainz 05, and Dijon FCV, the sports wear giants also produce kits for tennis players such as South Africa’s Kevin Anderson, David Ferrer, Elise Mertens and 2019 US Open finalist Danil Medvedev.
Speaking to www.9jabuzzer.com, the management and fans of the seven-time Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions have expressed satisfaction with the deal and also believe its a sign of good things to come.
Representing the management is the media officer of Rangers International, Norbert Okolie who told www.9jabuzzer.com that the deal means fans all over the world can now purchase the club’s replica jerseys.
“If you remember must of our fans all over the world had been glamouring for our replica jerseys, this is a stone that has helped us in killing over a million birds, now our fans will have the choice of picking whatever quality of our original local jerseys from designated shopping lines”.
“And I most say, it’s a big income change for the club, before the team always go cap in hand begging for the Government to come and help us financially, but with this am very very sure that Rangers will become very financially independent”.
9jabuzzer.com also caught up with some fans who expressed happiness with the management for securing the deal.
Micheal Nwamba said the deal will motivate the players and also sell the club’s brand.
“That will motivate the players and that will make our brand sell, because all this while Enugu Rangers branded jerseys where not okay for the fans to buy, so this deal will motivate them or motivate the players more, very nice one, good one for the management and I am so happy”.
Another fans Samuel said it’s a good development.
“For Enugu Rangers signing that deal, is a very good development, is a very good omen, is a welcome one, I congratulate them”
The Flying Antelopes will be in action against A.S Pelican of Gabon in the return leg first round tie of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday 29th September at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu. Rangers lost the first leg 2-1 in Libreville and will be hoping to overturn the result in other to progress in the tournament.
