In a bid to step up preparation for the return leg first round tie of the CAF champions league against Burkina Faso champions Rahimo FC, Nigeria Professional Football League club (NPFL), Enyimba Int’l FC will take on fellow NPFL side, Delta Force in a friendly encounter billed for 4pm today at the Enyimba Int’l Stadium, Aba.
The eight-time NPFL champions in the absence of league action in the country, which begins September 22nd, have been busy in friendly games.
Earlier, Enyimba Int’l FC defeated Diamond Stars FC of Calabar 4-0 in a tune-up game, and also beat Wilbros FC of Port Harcourt 5-3, under the watchful eyes of head coach, Usman Abd’Allah.
Delta Force FC with premier league experience under coach Mbwas Magnut will offer a stern test for Enyimba Int’l in today’s warm up.
Interestingly, Enyimba Int’l FC have recruited some quality players during the transfer window, which includes; Victor Mbaoma, Emeka Atuloma, Austin Opara, Cyril Olisema and a host of others.
Enyimba is faced with a herculean task to overturn a 1-0 first leg defeat in Ouagadougou when they host a very mobile and youthful Rahimo FC in Aba in the weekend of 23/25 of August, 2019.
The two-time African champions had an impressive run in the 2017/18 CAF Confederation Cup, losing in the semifinal to eventual champions Raja Casablanca of Morocco.
