Nigeria’s senior women basketball team, Dtigress on Tuesday annihilated Cameroun in their second and final group B encounter of the 2019 AfroWomenBasket championship 106-39 to qualify for the quarter-final of the championship. DTigress who avenged their points loss to Cameroon in 2015 were in their shooting best all quarters.
Otis Hughley girls led at the end of the first quarter 21-7, and kept the pace in the second quarter by winning 28-16, third quarter saw a surge in momentum and Dtigress won it 23-8, and the girls were in cruise mode in the fourth quarter winning 34-8.
The 19th ranked team in the world are safely into the quarter-finals, thus edging closer to the title they won in Bamako, Mali in 2017.
