With less than 48hrs to the start of the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League campaign, Enyimba Int’l FC technical adviser Usman Abd’Allah has sent a strong message to the fans of the club.
The team who will lock horns with Burkina Faso league champions, Rahimo FC on Saturday has since arrived the nation’s capital Ouagadougou on Thursday night.
Ahead of the tie, the 2019 league winning coach revealed that the fans should expect a good performance from the team, while banking on their prayers and support.
“I think they (fans) will be expecting us to win, they will expect us to get a good result, so whatever the results that will favour us is what we are praying for”.
“Luckily for us we are we are having an advantage of playing the first leg over there, we can also seal the game from there if we happen to get a win over there and never concede a goal or try to get an away goal, then we are ahead, so those are the strategies”.
“The fans should be praying and supporting the players very well, I think there is a lot of responsibility and hard work, and I think there are capable of doing that, we are hoping to give the fans what they want”.
The People’s Elephant enjoyed domestic success last season, overcoming a sloppy start to finish as champions of Nigeria for a record eighth time and sealing a return to the Champions League in the process.
Saturday’s game will be staged at Burkina Faso’s national stadium, the prestigious 38,000 capacity Stade du 4 Août in Ouagadougou, with kick off at 4pm local time, which is 5pm in Nigeria.
