AC Milan have completed the signing of Algeria midfielder Ismael Bennacer from fellow Italian side Empoli for a reported £14.5m.
The 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the multiple European champions.
Ismael Bennacer joined on the back of a stellar campaign with the Desert Foxes of Algeria at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, which culminated in winning the title and being named the most valuable player of the tournament.
The young midfielder who had represented France at Under-18 and Under-19 level before deciding to play for Algeria from 2016, had a stint at Arsenal from 2015 to 2017 before joining Empoli.
Bennacer’s arrival comes few days after the San Siro side confirmed the signing of Rafael Leao from Lille for a reported fee of £32m.
He will be part of a new revolution at the San Siro, alongside new Coach Marco Giampaolo.
